Daniel R. Levine is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Labor & Employment Law with over 30 years of experience helping businesses and individuals navigate complex workplace issues
Dan represents clients in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, handling matters involving wage and hour disputes (including unpaid overtime, minimum wage, and commissions), discrimination and harassment, retaliation, FMLA claims, whistleblower actions, non-compete and trade secret disputes, and employment and severance agreements.
In addition to litigation, Dan is a trusted advisor to employers on day-to-day labor and HR matters. His work includes HR audits; reviewing and drafting employee handbooks and workplace policies; reviewing job classifications; employment and independent contractor agreements; negotiating severance packages; and restrictive covenants, including non-compete agreements. He also provides sexual harassment and EEO training tailored to real-world workplace challenges.
Dan has been practicing law since 1995 and is admitted to all Florida state courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
He has been recognized as a Top Lawyer by the South Florida Legal Guide (after being named a Top Up and Comer from 2008–2011) and has been selected multiple times as a Florida Super Lawyer.
Beyond the courtroom, Dan is a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Civil Mediator, Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator, and Florida Bar Qualified Arbitrator. He also serves on the American Arbitration Association’s national roster of employment law arbitrators. A frequent speaker on labor and employment law topics, Dan has served on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section and is a past President of the Federal Bar Association, Broward County Chapter.
Dan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. He lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Corinne—a New York Times featured travel advisor—and enjoys traveling whenever possible. They have two adult children, Benjamin and Elijah, and share their home with Booker, their very enthusiastic Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier.
